History
This car was produced in (???) month in 1973.
3 liters of BW automatic transmission.
The car was sold new by Don W. Runnalls' Citroën - Sales and Service in Santa Monica, California, USA. Don is now over 80 years and has more SM'er. Who bought the car it is currently unknown to me, but a lady named Mary Lou Gilbert owned the car for many years before Jerry Hathaway, SM World, bought the car in the spring of 2008 I bought the car SM World Summer 08 car had a drug-free chassis with bad body, bad and ugly paint damage on the right rear fender. The engine was also tired condition. The car was very cheap so I got the motor, parts of drivlije and brakes totally overhauled and upgraded by SM World, before being transported to Norway. This was a cost well over twice what the car cost. The car arrived in Oslo in a cruel weather and would run home to Bergen. It went well in the end after changing fuel pump in Oslo. Back home the car body totally refurbished and all painted in the original color Brown Scarabee. Since then the car worked beautifully, but the engine had a trip back to the United States because of a mistake as they took on the warranty!
In 2002 the car complete new original interior. New black leather, new headliner, leather-wrapped dashboard and all carpets and rugs. This looks just as good today.
2008
Completely renovated motor SM World. Everything in the engine is new and all upgrades are done. It is also done special things like double o-rings liners mm. It also got some special exhaust manifolds that are neither standard US and Euros. But certainly better than the usual US edition. Gearbox is checked and is in very good condition, brake discs, calipers, drive shafts, oil cooler hoses etc. are new.
2008-2009
Body completely refurbished and new paint before winter storage. The Views on Trafikkstasjon spring of 2009, approved and ready for the road! Out on many tours, including an over 2000km trip "Norway around" without any problems.
Very rusty euro front plate acquired by JS Shake and headlight inserts. This is planned to be fixed over time.
2009-2010
Motor had to return to the United States for a warranty repair. Oil Leak in-valve lift. SM World covers all expenses in connection. This. Motor repaired and installed June 2010 Everything seems ok but the worst ever summer made the smaller drive. Nice autumn gave some nice rides before winter storage.
2010-2011
Scheduled to fix div details and check over everything before the 2011 season. Trip to Landstreff in Trondheim is the goal.
