he car owned for many years by a woman in northern California. Typical USA car with little rust, but tired interior and paint.
The car was in 2007 taken over by the nephew who did not themselves benefit from this project. CSMKN member no 01 bought this unseen on ebay. Thanks to the cheap dollar and low bid, it was not so gæ'ærn price. To put it this way: the shipping was almost as expensive as the car itself. I got it sent to Jerry Hathaway (SM World) who gave it a couple of key upgrades like new ignition switch, new battery box and battery and mat under the bonnet and intermediate shaft from the motor to the main pump. But he could opt for a slightly tired engine. So it was not just gold that, even if the car is gold colored. It was sent from California with Ørjan Nagelsens SM. Arrived in Oslo September 29, 2008, and was taken in Oslo at a furious snow!
Unlike Oliver who was driving, I took it on the trailer. Think it was a good idea;) Since then, it has gained many new parts. It is currently in operation and is the country's far northern SM. Perhaps the northernmost !!! , This vehicle has in its short history Norwegian experienced a dramatic engine failure and full conversion to manual transmission.

Upgrades

2009

The car was put in storage in autumn 2008, before the new season and approval by the MOT, the following matters taken:
Interior: New carpets in coupe'n, new cloth upholstery interior of the premises at all bars and luggage (everything but the roof has been replaced)
Suspension system: New cuffs bakfjærer, new feather balls round tack, new suspension cushions behind
Light: Relay box of dipped headlights

n May, it was attempted for the first time to get the car approved, but there was no success. On the way home hung kick down the wire up and made things worse ...

New round of work:
Provides: New kickdown wire - inherited 00SB8350 who retired automate checkout.
Exhaust: Switch to the new exhaust vs the back and smoke dampers same page.
Brakes: front caliper Overhauled both sides, fitted new brake pads front and rear.
Body: Also had to paint over the rear side markers - since in Skien is not allowed, but this has got to pass on other supervision. Built up with a strained relationship with one of the guards down there - it was mutual :)

In June, the car attempted accepted again, this time with success and got their Kongsberg Signs.

The car was rigged with Aussie front inherited from 00SB8350 and made ready for the trip to Stokmarknes - Ole should take over this SM'en
Having blown past a couple of German live-cars whizzing mil south of Dombås, I experience an engine failure (going to Trondheim) ... Rescued by Robert in his old gray - one B11 ...

Engine and transmission removed.
Engine stripped down washed away 35 years of dirt and fitted new engine.

Welded cross member and suspension mounts to the front suspension (most SM will experience cracks in the suspension mounts / traverse).
New engine from a Norwegian SM and fitted Euro branch pipe.
Various new gaskets, new oil pressure switch, new throttle cable, new oil cooler hoses, new plug wires and plugs.
Tested and found in order.
New trip to Trondheim without incident, was parked with John in Trondheim before being forwarded by steamer to Stokmarknes.

2010

Brake System: CX bremseakkumulatorkule installed after the original varnish.
Interior: New brown leather - front seats.
Engine: Carburetor adjustment - finally goes fine too !!!
Wheels: New tires having lost all trace the path of a tire in 70 km / h - scary.
Exhaust: New front silencer exhaust, new exhaust pipe behind hs
Body: New side covers vs due to damage from the incident with the tire.

2011

- Welded well in the trunk
- Welded and painted right behind the screen
- The outstanding rear mounted, complete interior in new brown leather - gorgeous.

2012

- Up-lacquered armor in original color - hmm, now well everything else is taken too :)
- Main switch mounted in the glove box

2013

- May: Gearbox (Automatic) locks up in reverse - no forward gears. Looking at various solutions, but can not figure out the error.
- June: The car unregistered pending a final solution. Manual shifting is determined over phone call father-son.
- June: Center Console, Gear, Clutch Pedal, shift linkage, Travers, DIRAVI etc obtained through "a German connection".
- August: Manual gearbox - partly from Tom Krogh "fire engine" and gearbox from a five-speed DS - built up.
- October: Automatic lifted out and rebuilding begins.

2014

- Mars: Manual gearbox installed.
- April: The conversion is completed.
- May: Necessary adjustments on the shifting cable / lever - everything works (we think :))
- June? Sa majesté back on the road.
