Hi and welcome to my auction. This clean late 1972 production SM runs and drives beautifully. She has been gone over by my mechanic who worked for the citroen factory for many years going to dealerships, solving their problems on these cars. There is a brand new Stainless Steel Exhaust System installed as well as the engine, transmission, electrical and hydraulics have been fully sorted and all are operating perfectly. The interior leather is nice except the front passenger seat front panel dried (strange) and needs to be replaced. Other than that, a few stitchings here and there and the small separation in the dash (common in these cars), the interior is much nicer than most SM's that I've seen. The undercarriage is as rust free and never repaired but there is a couple of pea size small bubbling and surface rust around the rear window. I've got the original owners manual as well as lots of papers from the original owner that I got the car from. The engine runs very cool (I think because of the low original mileage), tracts true and is a pleasure to drive being very strong and fast, shifting perfectly in all gears.
Any questions please email me and I will do my best to get back as soon as I can.
Thanks
Mark
I just uploaded the serial # plate from the 3.0L engine (which is an incredible valuable upgrade I've been told by the best). iI says Maserati C11404/2 450187 and was installed during a restoration 15 years ago in Pennsylvania (I was told) by the Citroen specialist Red Barringer or something like that.
We have gone through her and all windows, lights, hydraulics cooling fans new rotary a/c compressor and hoses (I think we put too much oil in the compressor as the high side is getting extremely hot and the cool side normal) New stainless exhaust including the flex pipe. My mechanic had an open checkbook and I can go on. She really is a clean Sm

I've been asked why I'm selling the car by a quite a few people. I collect cars and have a euro 74 SM 5 spd as well as a few DS's. I bought this SM because of the automatic so my wife and daughter could enjoy one of these wonderful cars (can't drive a stick). The last thing I needed was for one of them to break down!!. I even went so fart as pulling the transmission to inspect and drain the converter properly. Everything in the trans looked as new!. The car had an added on cooling fan switch (not good for my girls) so I had to replace the entire harness to get the radiator fans to operate automaticly, as they should. Brian 917.981.8651 and Winsley Mode Citroen in New York did the work and I get my parts from not only who I believe is the Citroen "Guru" but a great guy and friend, Paul Heilig, owner of Citroen Classics 858.531.0552 (check out his website) Please feel free to call him as my reference (he is presently restoring a 66 Charon DS21 convertible for me).
After all this, my girls will not drive an old car without navigation, airbags etc.
