GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1973 Citroen SM for purchase. Citroen purchased Maserati in the late 1960's and used this acquisition to build an ahead of its time sport coupe. The SM used a Maserati four-cam V6 (later used in the Merak) placed in a front-wheel drive coupe. The result was a 4-seat GT capable of 140mph. The SM was packed with cutting edge technology. Most notable were the precise variable assist power steering, rain sensing wipers, self-leveling suspension, and inboard front disc brakes. The styling and mystique of the car made it very popular among celebrities and it made several appearances in movies. The SM was awarded Motor Trend Car of the Year award in 1972 which rarely goes to a non-American vehicle.
This Citroen SM is Black with Tan interior. It has its original 3.0L V6 engine paired with a 3-speed Borg-Warner Automatic transmission. The paint was redone about 12 years ago and the interior is redone in cloth. It is an Arizona car that when you look underneath you can see how clean and solid a vehicle this is.
